Equality, Diversity and Inclusion

There have been several meetings between the FAB and the club held during August centring on Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (E,D & I) Issues.

The club is doing great work in this area which is highlighted on this video on the E,D & I pages on the club website:

The FAB have been working hard during the summer to start a dedicated and independent Disabled Supporters Association (DSA). They have been talking to DSAs at other clubs and to Level Playing Field, an organisation dedicated to ensuring inclusion within sports. A meeting was held with the club on 24th August to agree steps to form the new DSA at Brighton. If you have any interest in being part of this new organisation then please contact the FAB.

A Disabled Fans’ Forum was held at Dick’s Bar on 15th August. There was a good turnout covering a number of issues. The FAB were there to listen to fans feedback and introduce the concept of the DSA.

The FAB were also represented in the Pride Parade walking through Brighton on a very wet and windy day in early August. BHAFC is a major sponsor of Pride and the club were well represented on the float, in the walking party and in the crowd. The Argus snapped the chair of the FAB sheltering under the BHAFC lorry as gale force winds lashed the seafront!

We’re pleased to report that the club have installed new rails in the wheelchair area of the Upper East following a FAB tour to the Amex Stadium
